INFUTURE - development of inland waterway connection between Finland and Russia



The project group meeting of the INFUTURE project was held in St.Petersburg, April 10-11th, 2019. The meeting was hosted by the Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping.


The agenda of the meeting consisted of project management issues and also an overview on all four work packages. The project is proceeding well and project partners both from Finland and Russia has worked well together and some summaries on inland waterways systems have already been conducted. The project team was invited to Volgo-Balt Administration in St Petersburg. Volgo-Balt Administration presented their operations and main tasks. After the presentation and discussions the project group had an opportunity to visit the vessel traffic control department and mapping department.
