Within EMMA project an international conference on inland waterways was held February 21st, 2018 in Berlin. The theme of the conference was "Perspectives for Inland Navigation and River-Sea-Shipping Markets. This was the 2nd Annual Joint Conference by the Baltic Sea Region Programme Project EMMA and the Chamber Union Elbe/Oder.
Mr Pekka Koskinen, the Vice Chairman of the Board, represented the Finnish Waterway Association in the Conference and gave a presentation on Saimaa lake area development plans and of the outcomes of the Cost Benefit Analysis conducted by M4Traffic AB.
